Bridging the Gap

One Click at a Time

Brightspeed is one of the nation’s largest fiber broadband builders, dedicated to closing the digital gap by providing reliable internet services tailored to meet the diverse needs of its customers, ranging from basic browsing to high-demand work-from-home solutions.

Enhancing Access for
Digital Equity Resources

The purpose of this project was to enhance user access to Brightspeed’s digital equity resources.

Leading UX Design for Digital Equity

As the Lead Senior UX Designer, I spearheaded the redesign of the About Us page and the development of three new pages for the Digital Equity Hub. My leadership was pivotal in ensuring that user experience principles were integrated at every stage of the project.

We created a clear user flow that minimized cognitive load and guided users to their
desired resources.

Lessons from the Frontlines
Designing for All

By focusing on intuitive user flows, accessible annotations, and responsive prototypes, we delivered a solution that not only meets Brightspeed’s mission but also empowers communities to participate in the digital world with confidence. In future projects, additional time for iterative testing would further improve user interactions, reinforcing our commitment to designing for inclusivity and accessibility.

Detailed User Flow Documentation

I mapped out pathways for all major actions within the hub, ensuring that development aligned closely with UX intentions.

Annotations

To communicate the user journey and design rationale, I developed annotated wireframes. Each annotation clarified interaction elements, such as button states, information hierarchy, and text labels designed for accessibility.

Through focused leadership at Level, we played a key role in launching Brightspeed’s Digital Equity Hub, empowering underserved communities with essential internet resources.
